Bardia National Park Jungle Safari
Bardia National Park is Nepal’s largest national park, located in the western lowland Terai region. Spanning 968 square kilometers, the park was created to preserve the natural habitat and protect endangered species such as the Bengal tiger and other native wildlife.
The park’s origins trace back to 1976 when it was first established as the Karnali Wildlife Reserve. Although it was a protected area, over 1,500 families later settled there with government permission. As time passed, wildlife began to flourish, prompting authorities to enlarge the reserve and rename it Bardia Wildlife Reserve in 1982. Finally, in 1988, the area was designated as Bardia National Park to reflect its expanded role in conservation.
