Chitwan National Park Jungle Safari
Chitwan National Park, established in 1973, is among Nepal’s finest national parks. It offers a remarkable jungle safari experience, where visitors can explore a rich diversity of birds, plants, and animals—including rare wildlife and a variety of flora and fauna. Located just 150 meters above sea level, the park is often enveloped in steamy heat from March to June. From February to May, the short grass provides optimal conditions for wildlife viewing. The autumn season offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas, while winter (December–January) provides a pleasant, cooler climate.
Although Nepal is famed for its majestic mountains, the flat lowlands of the Terai in the south present a completely different and equally captivating experience. A trip to Nepal wouldn’t be complete without visiting this unique region, and Chitwan is undoubtedly the highlight of the Terai.
